Spellings Homework
Spelling Practice.
Repeated practice of spelling helps children move their new learning into their long-term memory.
Ask the children to:
- Read the words.
- Add the sound buttons (dots and dashes).
- Write the words on a scrap of paper.
- Do a little fun spelling quiz. Remind the children to sound out and segment each word before they spell it.
Tricky words
Ask the children to:
- Read the words
- Circle the tricky bit.
- Write the tricky words.
They can do this in different colours if they wish!
We are recapping knowledge that the children need to know in Year 1, in our homework this term.
